entry
in Mouth Athos can be approached either by the morning boat from
Ouranoupoli
to the Western side of the peninsula or from Ierissos
to the Eastern side. Each monastery has jetty-harbour in order to disembark.

At
Mouth Athos are allowed
both mobile phones and mountaineering equipment.
All the monasteries allocate cart-telephone booth, drugstore, surgery.

|
At
Mouth Athos entry to women is forbidden.
Additionally, the costume
of visitors should be modest.
Smoking and the entry of equipment related to TV and radios are also prohibited

Photographs
and video tape recording are prohibited in the monasteries.
Specifically, VIDEO recording
is not permitted all around the peninsula of Holy Mount

The monasteries open their gates by dawn
and close them by sunset.

If you want to stay more than the latter amount of time, you should receive a special authorisation from the Abbot of Abbey.

It is prohibited to approach Mouth Athos with your own ship. The only legal entry is with the ferry boats from Ouranoupoli
or Ierissos.
